We will have exclusive use of a 325 camp in the Eola Hills near Salem, OR. Beautiful Oak and Douglas Fir forest provide an enchanting environment to connect with ourselves, each other, and nature.
The walkways around the main part of camp are wide, graveled roads and paths. The property is on a hillside and it is a moderate to significant incline to some of the program facilities.
Campers are permitted to temporarily drive to their lodging to unload luggage, then return thier vehicle to the main parking lot. Vehicles are not permitted to be used around camp, mobility assistive devices are of course permitted.
Lodging for Winter Camp is provided in indoor cabins with electricity and heat. All beds are twin-sized bunk beds. During registration you can choose your cottage, room, and top or bottom bunk.
There are a few spaces for RVs in the John Gray Hall parking lot. RV camping is 'dry', there is no electricity or hook ups. Generators are permitted provided there are not fire restrictions.
If you want to bunk with buddies, coordinate with them to choose the same cottage and room.
Cottages are single story. Each cottage has four bedrooms with two bunkbeds each (4 beds), a common area equiped with a microwave and sink, bathrooms with two showers, toilets, and sinks, and a deck.
There is one cottage without a step at the entrance, the other cottages have one or two steps to enter, the rest of the cottage is on one level.
The Cascara House is a two story building with six bedrooms with two bunks each (4 beds), two on the first floor and four on the second. There is also two bathrooms with toilets, sinks, and showers, a full kitchen, and large common space.
The entrance to Cascara house is flat without steps. There are two bedrooms on the first floor and four bedrooms upstairs.
The Cascara House is utilized by the Production Team as a home base to store supplies, meet, and for the nurse to attend to injuries. Campers sleeping in this area should expect a certain amount of traffic, noise, and busyness.
Meals are served all together in the Dining Hall. Coffee service and snacks will be available in the Dining Hall througout the day.
Some activities may also take place in the Dining Hall.
Various activities will take place in John Gray Hall. There is a large gymnasium with a stage, a smaller meeting space, a service kitchen, and two multi-stall restrooms.
All Camps will be at John Gray Hall in the evenings, including senory sensitive options.
If the weather cooperates, there are a number of outdoor spaces that can be utilized to gather or for activites.
An outdoor amphitheater has a stage, large firepit, and seating for everyone.
There are two smaller shelters with picnic tables to host small groups of up to 40 people.
Restroom facilities at camp will all be signed gender-free. All toilets and showers are single stall. Each cabin has restrooms with showers in the same building. Shared restrooms are located in the Dining Hall and John Gray Hall.
