Mission: to support self-discovery, adventure, fun, connection, and community for LGBTQ2S+ adults through safe/r, dynamic, and affirming camp events.
Goals:
Produce high quality camp experiences for LGBTQ2S+ adults.
Blend traditional and non-traditional activities. Encourage and nurture co-creation of activities that resonate with folks who are systemically excluded from summer camp experiences.
Cultivate an environment which supports and affirms folks who are systemically excluded from summer camp experiences through:
Robust code of conduct and supporting norms/practices.
Fully transparent and flexible lodging accommodations.
Intentional space/event planning.
Providing space for resource sharing (carpooling, gear lending, etc.).
Create a flexible and accessible pricing structure through volunteer/trade, fundraising, and grants.
At Glimmer Camp we are aware of the experiences and barriers QTBIPOC (Queer/Trans Black, Indigenous and People of Color) folks face in our community and in outdoor recreation. We prioritize volunteer applications from BIPOC community members, activity proposals that center that experience, and will open Pay IT Forward scholarship waitlist to BIPOC folks first. We're committed to providing more financial access points and uplift BIPOC leadership within programming.
A note about responsiveness:
Glimmer Camp is an all-volunteer produced event. We strive to have realistic expectations for ourselves and each other and to resist false urgency. It routinely takes us up to a week to respond to emails. If your message is urgent, please indicate as much in the subject.

Zoe (she/her)
Camp Director
Zoe is a queer woman and recreation professional with over twenty-five years of experience in camp programs, including a decade as camp director. Being the Glimmer Camp director is the best thing that has ever happened to her.
When not working on camp business she can be found radically resting and connecting, hanging with her dog Ollie, or watching bees sleep in flowers and would like to show you pictures of the last two if you want to see them.
Jordin (he/him, they/them)
Program Director
Jordin can somehow be blamed for all of this. A creative force, a community builder, an inclusive space magician. Jordin is making sure the leadership team doesn't leave the 'fun' out of functional.
Taylor (they/them)
Finance Manager
The most important thing to know about Taylor is that they adore puzzles and they love their genius-idiot orange tabby, Sunny. In their free time, they enjoy going for calm walks and spend evenings playing video games with their friends. Taylor has five years of experience with project managing and is excited to utilize their skills to ensure camp is a success. They are looking forward to enjoying the beautiful campground and making new friends at camp!
Julien (he/him)
Sponsorship Manager
Hey all! I've loved mixing my
personal experiences, passions, and years of community organizing
and outreach work into my role on the leadership team.
I'm grateful for
the opportunity to co-create a space to connect with nature, each other, and myself. At camp, you will definitely find me by the water and I hope to see you there too!
Angie (she/they)
Marketing Director
Angie brings over 20 years of marketing and
communications experience to the Glimmer
Camp leadership team, spanning broadcast
television, destination marketing, and
corporate brand experiences. They have also
supported marketing leadership with Emerald
City Roller Derby, Rat City Roller Derby, and
the Soromundi Lesbian Chorus of Eugene.
Currently active in Eugene's creative and
queer scene through Soromundi Lesbian
Chorus of Eugene, the Archery Gays, and
local music collaborations, Angie combines
professional knowledge with a desire towards
community engagement.
Ashley (she/her)
Event Assistant
Hi, I’m Ashley (she/her)!
I’m a cis, queer woman and I’m obsessed with self expression and exploring
alternative pathways for pretty much everything. Being part of and co-creating spaces to help folks showcase their individuality is one of my favorite things to do. At
camp I will be ensuring that the vibes are immaculate as your Events Assistant.
Emilie (she/her)
Hospitality Manager
Howdy! Emilie is a queer person, born and raised in beautiful Oregon.
When she's not building things at her day job, she can usually be found working on a crafty something or other, or walking in the world with their partner and little doggos, always with a snack. Being outside, creating whimsy, and snacks are all very important to Emilie.
Their passion project and employment dream is event coordinating and running an event venue space. Emilie has been honing those skills by coordinating in many capacities for various events. She's really looking forward to adding hospitality management for Glimmer Camp to her repertoire. She didn't have the chance to experience summer camp as a kid, so choosing to as an adult feels extra special.
Kel (they/them)
Pay it Forward
Fundraising Manager
Kel is a longtime radical abolitionist and community builder. They find themselves somewhat surprisingly in the category of elder queer. Weird since they think of themselves at least 20 years younger!
Their central motivator in life remains been building and strengthening their communities. If that happens around food and/or projects, all the better!
Ruby (she/her)
Program Director
Ruby (she/her) is a queer living in Eugene. She has over 10 years in the summer camp world, and is hoping to stack up many more. She has about 15 unfinished crafts sitting around her home at any one time.
Her hobbies include a range of collaborative activites, from Minecraft and D&D, to a plethora of boardgames. She's eager to help you have the best camp
Sage (they/them)
Marketing Assistant
Sage is a queer non-binary person. They value intersectional community building and hope to make the outdoors accessible for queer BIPOC communities.
In their free time, they enjoy climbing, playing video games, and napping with their 2 cats. When they're not doing any of the above, you'll find them collecting new hobbies (or just hobby supplies).
