All Glimmer Camp participants, including campers and volunteers, are expected to adhere to the following rules The majority of these rules are required by the venue. And so while they might not be what we would choose if left to our own devices, we must enforce them. Violations of these rules risk Glimmer Camp being evicted from the property or not permitted to rent this property for future events. So, please take them seriously.

While we vet camp volunteers and some activity leaders require certification, participants should not participate in any camp activity that does not feel safe or right for them. Please inform camp leadership of any safety concerns that arise while at camp. The views and opinions expressed by camp volunteers do not necessarily reflect those of Glimmer Camp.
Conflict is a normal part of the human experience and we expect that it may arise during Glimmer Camp events. When it does, we offer the following guide to approach it:
If discomfort arises as a result of interactions with other camp participant(s) we encourage folks to consider the following when deciding on how to respond:
Tune into your body. What are you noticing? Is the discomfort arising from someone expressing perspectives or experiences that are different from yours? Is the discomfort arising because the words or actions reinforce systems of oppression? Is hurt arising because of your own wounds? How can this information help you decide how to proceed?
Are there ways that you can tend to your own needs during camp? Are there appropriate boundaries you can set with yourself and others?
Are you interested in, and able to, call-in the other involved participants with grace, respect, and compassion?
Glimmer Camp volunteers will not facilitate mediation, group accountability processes or repair for conflict or harm that occurs between participants including campers and volunteers. Glimmer Camp leadership can support participants in figuring out what steps they can take to tend to their own needs. As a result of conflict or harm camp leadership may take actions such as changing participants’ activity schedules or sleeping assignments, or dismissing participants from camp as a last resort in cases of serious violations of the Code of Conduct.
